I have many loves in this life. Vanilla lattes on warm Atlanta days, riding bikes that go nowhere, slow flow vinyasa yoga, and putting pen to paper (or, more contemporarily, putting keys to Microsoft Word 2021). As a Neuroscience PhD student, I am captivated by the beautiful, mysterious complexity of the human brain, yet it is discussing these scientific inquiries, among others, broadly and abundantly that fuels my fire.
Science is healthcare, and healthcare is life. Such knowledge should not be limited to the niche it was produced in. Additionally, science is curiosity. It is the child within us asking questions. Why are we here? How does this work? What does it mean to be human? Don't we all deserve to know?
I hope you learn a little about my work. That's great - I'm very proud of it. However, more broadly, I hope you indulge in the essays here whose titles spark curiosity, hope and excitement within you. After all, to me, that is science at its core.
